SWAT TOURNIQUET

The SWAT TOURNIQUET is one of the newest tourniquets on the market. We have them available because of one thing, they are excellent for use with K9 injuries or even equestrian injuries. However, this is a difficult tourniquet to use as a primary for humans. It is demanding in its application. We know that a lot of standard tourniquets are nearly useless in small children and animals so this is a great back up or primary if you are in the categories listed previously. 

The SWAT tourniquet is pretty intuitive. You pull tension and wrap over and over. It has some key printing to show you if the tension is correct but again, you must have practiced with this and it would always be a good idea to place this on your animal to know if you can do this before you need it. It is one of the most painless tourniquets to have applied. 

SWAT does not make a blue trainer. Black with silver printing is our suggestion as they are difficult to read in the field but would make a great trainer to build that motion repetition. The life safety is also obviously orange in our world. Great thing is that they make plenty of orange ones and that’s our go to for you. The SWAT is a relatively inexpensive tourniquet to buy comparatively. Making it a back up for that reason alone is well worth it.
