RAT TOURNIQUET

The RAT tourniquet stands for RAPID APPLICATION TOURNIQUET. It too, is a relatively newer model that is not combat approved. We think this tourniquet is great for small children and can be used with K9s as well. Like we mentioned with the SWAT tourniquet, the RAT is popular with our K9 handlers. It will hold against a hairy leg with big tapers more easily than a traditional tourniquet.  

Our beef with this device is that it is not intuitive and if you have never practiced with it, the likelihood of being successful when you need it is low. The studies bear this out in data as well. We think it is a great tool if you have the willpower to practice.  

Due to its design, we do not offer a holster for it. You are welcome to purchase one of our holsters for the same additional cost as any other tourniquet package, but we cannot guarantee fitment or retention.  

This also comes in RED or BLUE as we have not been able to source a high vis ORANGE to go with our normal offerings. They are relatively inexpensive due to their simple nature of construction.
